This Privacy Policy explains how Minefront.io (“Minefront”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the game, website or Android app published as a web/TWA experience. For privacy and support requests, contact contact@minefront.io.
Clear summary
- Minefront.io is an online 1v1 tactical minesweeper game. We need certain data to run accounts, matches, rankings, tournaments, security and transactional emails.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We use service providers needed to operate the service, such as hosting/server infrastructure, database services, Resend for emails, Google Analytics/Google Ads for measurement and, when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile for anti-abuse protection.
- Match telemetry is used for security, moderation, cheat prevention and game improvement.
1. Controller and contact
The data controller is Minefront.io. For privacy requests, account questions, data deletion requests or support, email contact@minefront.io.
2. Data we may collect
- Account data: alias or username, email address, hashed password, preferred language, selected avatar, email verification status and technical tokens required for registration, verification, password recovery and login.
- Game data: matches played, score, statistics, all-time ranking, tournaments, opponents, results, progress, errors, reactions and data needed to reconstruct or review a match.
- Anti-cheat and security telemetry: action timestamps, click and flag sequences, use of game tools, deviation between actions, accuracy, chord-type moves, time to first useful click, indicators of automated behavior and related administration logs.
- Technical data: IP address, approximate country derived from IP or network headers when available, user agent, browser, device, operating system, session identifiers, technical cookies, local storage, connection logs, WebSocket events and error diagnostics.
- Contact data: messages you send to contact@minefront.io and information needed to respond.
- Analytics and measurement: usage events, page views, conversions and device data processed by Google Analytics and Google Ads according to their own terms and policies.
3. How we use data
- Provide the real-time game, matchmaking, private rooms, tournaments, rankings, results and profiles.
- Create and protect accounts, verify emails, recover passwords, maintain sessions and prevent unauthorized access.
- Detect, investigate and prevent cheating, bots, abuse, attacks, spam, bug exploitation and conduct that harms competitive integrity.
- Send transactional emails, such as account verification, password recovery or strictly service-related notices.
- Measure performance, stability, errors, general usage, campaigns and product improvements.
- Comply with legal obligations, respond to requests and protect rights or legitimate interests.
4. Legal basis
We process data when necessary to provide the requested service, comply with legal obligations, protect our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention and game improvement, or where consent is required and provided.
5. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies
We use technical cookies and local storage to maintain sessions, remember preferences such as language, sound or avatar, keep reconnection tokens and operate the game. Google Analytics/Google Ads technologies may also load for measurement and attribution. You can manage cookies and local storage from your browser or device settings, but disabling them may affect the game.
6. Providers and third parties
We may share data only where necessary with providers that help operate Minefront.io:
- Hosting, infrastructure, database and VPS providers: to run the game, store data and serve the website/app.
- Resend: to send transactional account emails.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads: for analytics, campaign measurement and conversions.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, when enabled: to verify that certain actions are not automated or abusive.
- Approximate IP geolocation services, when enabled: to obtain an approximate country for security, operation or statistics.
- Authorities or legally authorized third parties: when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety and service integrity.
We do not sell personal data. We do not allow third parties to use data received from Minefront.io for purposes incompatible with this policy.
7. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country or the European Economic Area. When this happens, we aim to use providers with appropriate safeguards and reasonable measures to protect the information.
8. Retention
- Account data is retained while the account is active or needed to provide the service.
- Rankings, results, statistics and tournament data may be retained historically to maintain competitive integrity and game history.
- Anti-cheat telemetry and security logs are retained for as long as needed to investigate abuse, protect the service and resolve disputes.
- Verification, recovery and session tokens expire or are deleted when no longer needed.
If you request account deletion through /en/delete-account, from user settings or by emailing contact@minefront.io, we will delete or anonymize data that is no longer needed, except where retention is required for security, competitive integrity, legal compliance or defense of claims.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures: hashed passwords, HttpOnly and Secure session cookies where applicable, session controls, anti-abuse protection, security logs and service data separation. No system is infallible, but we work to reduce risks and fix vulnerabilities.
10. Children
Minefront.io is not directed to children under 13. If you are below the minimum age applicable in your country, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided data without authorization, contact contact@minefront.io.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict processing of, withdraw consent for or request portability of your data. To exercise these rights, email contact@minefront.io with your account email and request. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical or service changes. We will publish the current version at this URL and update the date above when changes are relevant.
